Cloud Foundry and AppFog: How using a polyglot PaaS streamlines scaling and deploying of distributed systems
Cloud Foundry is an open source framework for building a polyglot PaaS. http://www.cloudfoundry.org/
AppFog is bleeding-edge polyglot PaaS service built on Cloud Foundry that you can use today. http://appfog.com/
I'll discuss Cloud Foundry, how we use it to build AppFog, and show a demo of a simple application written as multiple micro-services written in different languages, running on AppFog, brought together client-side with Knockout.js.
We'll accomplish this with only a little bit of code, and go from idea to completely deployed public application with push-button scaling in just a few minutes.
AppFog and Cloud Foundry make building, deploying and scaling polyglot systems *really* easy.
